Emma Verrier is Welsh and has been the CEO of WISC since 2010.  Before joining WISC she was a practising Resolution Accredited Solicitor, specialising in Family and Child Care Law and was Head of Housing at Hodson, Parsons, James and Vaux Solicitors in Newport.  In 2009 she completed a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Post Compulsory Education and Training) and, after completing her teacher training at the local tertiary college, went on to lecture Law at Cardiff Metropolitan University. Her final teaching job, a part-time role alongside her WISC job was at an independent international school in Cardiff.  With the WISC role growing from strength to strength, Emma now devotes her 4 working days a week to running WISC. She is supported by the Board of Directors. In her spare time Emma enjoys walking with her dog and friends, swimming, travelling and reading.
