Teachers and parents at St Clare’s School will be empowered to support the mental health and wellbeing of their young people through The Wellbeing Hub from Teen Tips.

It has never been more important to support the mental health and wellbeing of young people. Recent stats from The Wellbeing Hub reveal an overwhelming 89% of parents say there’s a need for all teachers to be given the skills to support the emotional wellbeing of young people.

Commenting on The Wellbeing Hub, Deputy Headteacher Rachel Smart said:

“Positive mental health is fundamental to young people’s ability to thrive and make the most of the opportunities available to them whilst at school. In conjunction with The Wellbeing Hub from Teen Tips, we aim to equip our staff and parents with knowledge, understanding and strategies, so that they can support our pupils.”

Alicia Drummond, adolescent psychotherapist and founder of The Wellbeing Hub and Teen Tips said:

“Schools have done a truly extraordinary job of educating their pupils in the most difficult of circumstances. We’re delighted to be working with St Clare’s School in Porthcawl who are adopting this proactive and holistic approach to support the mental health of their school community.”

Since the pandemic, The Wellbeing Hub have seen a rising demand from parents and schools for guidance and training on understanding and meeting the social and emotional needs of their young people. The Wellbeing Hub, which includes access for pupils aged 10 and above, is currently impacting more than 78,000 pupils in over 100 schools across the UK.
